Geothermal Forum: Geochemical Investigation on the Implications of fluid origin, subsurface processes, and Recharge on the Tangkuban Perahu geothermal conceptual model

The Geothermal Master’s Program, Faculty of Mining and Petroleum Engineering, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), successfully held another session of the Geothermal Forum Series 2023 on Friday, July 7, 2023, from 13.30 to 15.30 (Jakarta Time). The event was conducted online via Zoom and YouTube.

This week’s forum presented the topic “Geochemical Investigation on the Implications of Fluid Origin, Subsurface Processes, and Recharge on the Tangkuban Perahu Geothermal Conceptual Model.” The session featured Nyora Donald Kobare as the speaker and Riostantieka M. Shoedharto as the moderator.

The presentation explored the geochemical characteristics of geothermal fluids in the Tangkuban Perahu geothermal field, highlighting how fluid origin, subsurface processes, and recharge mechanisms influence the field’s conceptual model. The discussion provided valuable insights into understanding geothermal systems through geochemical analysis an essential aspect in developing sustainable geothermal resources.

The Geothermal Forum Series serves as a platform organized by the ITB Geothermal Master’s Program to promote knowledge sharing and discussions on the latest developments in geothermal exploration, technology, and research.
