Geothermal Forum: Share your knowledge for better geothermal development

The Geothermal Forum (GF) activity was initially held since 2012 as an annual guest lecture which invited Prof. Hochstein, professor from the University of Auckland. He is a figure who has helped explore geothermal resources in Indonesia since the 80s. Apart from Prof. Hochstein, the Geothermal Forum also brought in the chairman of the Indonesian Geothermal Association to provide updates on the development of geothermal business in Indonesia.

Since 2014, GF has been planned to be held weekly with speakers from geothermal practitioners with the expanded aim of filtering ideas for student thesis research. Since then GF activities have been running regularly every week during the active semester. The implementation of GF has been increasingly massive since the formation of the collaboration with the ITB Geothermal Study Program Alumni Association in 2018. Alumni support has been increasingly active in sending alumni who are already working as practitioners to become GF speakers.
