The Geothermal Master’s Program, Faculty of Mining and Petroleum Engineering, Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), held a series of Guest Lectures as part of the course MK PB6026 Special Topic in Geothermal Engineering. The sessions featured professionals from leading geothermal companies who shared their expertise and experiences on various topics related to geothermal operations and reservoir management.

The guest speakers included:

• Dhanie Marstiga (PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy) – “Geothermal Reservoir Problem”
• Ichwan Agusta Elfajrie (PT Geo Dipa Energi) – “Production Problems at Dieng Geothermal Field”
• Rio Nugroho (Star Energy Wayang Windu) – “Production Problems at Wayang Windu Geothermal Field”
• Anton Purwakusumah (Star Energy Wayang Windu) – “Power Plant Operations at Wayang Windu Field”
• Mulyadi (Star Energy Wayang Windu) – “Field and Reservoir Optimization to Prolong Production Plateau”

The lectures took place every Monday from 16.00 to 19.00 WIB at the Exploration Room, 2nd Floor, Energy Building, ITB.

This guest lecture series aimed to strengthen students’ understanding of real-world geothermal challenges by connecting academic learning with industrial practices. It provided an excellent opportunity for students of the Geothermal Master’s Program and Petroleum Engineering to engage directly with experts and discuss current issues in geothermal development and operations.
