The utilization of Brine ORC reduces the temperature, which causes silica to be oversaturated at the ORC outlet. It will affect the efficiency of energy recovery in geothermal power plants. Silica scaling can cause extensive fouling in the heat exchanger and reduce injection capacity. Sorik Marapi Geothermal Fields has been successful to mitigate silica scaling in ORC brine.
